A tragic explosion at an Islamiyyah school in the Kuchibiyu community, Bwari Area Council, Abuja, has claimed the life of a student and left four others injured.
The incident occurred around noon on Monday, January 6. According to a security source, the injured students were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Reports suggest the deceased student was carrying a substance suspected to be an improvised explosive device (IED) when it detonated. The school is located approximately 42 kilometers from the center of Abuja.
Details surrounding the explosion remain unclear at the time of this report.
Meanwhile, the FCT Police Command has not issued an official statement. When contacted, the command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, stated that she would confirm and provide updates on the matter.
