The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2023 elections, Omoyele Sowore, has stated that the reportedly removed petroleum subsidy is still being paid.
Omoyele Sowore made the statement during an interview on News Central TV’s Breakfast Show on Tuesday, December 19.
“I would not have taken subsidy out because that is the only thing left for an average Nigerian. I would have made sure that it goes to the people, and the thieves, who share it, are not able to touch it.” The politician and Human Rights activist said.
Omoyele Sowore demanded to know what the government had done with the alleged proceeds from the subsidy savings so far.
“Where is the subsidy money that has been saved and what has the money been used for? It is all a lie.”
