Security forces on Thursday killed a Sudanese protester amid anti-coup demonstrations around the country.
The 28-year-old victim is the latest in over 90 deaths recorded after a wave of protests against the country’s military leadership that erupted following the October coup.
Despite a severe response by security personnel, protesters have not been deterred.
Thousands of demonstrators heading towards the presidential palace in Khartoum’s capital city were confronted with gunshots and tear gas by security personnel on Thursday.
Reports say several victims were carried away bleeding.Protesters want the military to leave control and be replaced by a civilian government.
