Nigeria’s Super Falcons star, Rasheedat Ajibade has joined Atletico Madrid Femenino in a deal announced on Friday.
Ajibade, highly rated in Africa and Nigeria, is one of the best female players in the continent.
The former FC Robo of Lagos striker last player in Norway and represented Nigeria as a teenager in the AWCON and World Cup.
She has become the second Nigerian to represent the female Atletico Madrid side in less than five years, with winger Francesca Ordega being on their payroll before her move to North America.
Ajibade, through her move to Atleti has joined her role model and Super Falcons teammate, Asisat Oshoala in the Spanish league. Oshoala currently stars for Barcelona Femenino.
