A suspected bomb explosion killed one person and left four others injured in the Bassa community of Shiroro Local Government Area (LGA), Niger State, on Thursday morning.
Another explosion was reported in Lapkma, Lapai LGA, later the same day.
The first explosion occurred while the victims were on their way to their farms. A local farmer, Dauda Haruna, lost his life in the incident. Three injured siblings—Mali (20), Nehemiah (14), and Jonah (15)—were reportedly traveling on a motorcycle when the explosion went off.
Reports indicate that the second explosion happened when a rescue team’s motorcycle triggered an explosive device.
