The young singer has penned a deal that will help him expand into international markets.

One of Nigeria’s most promising acts T-Classic has signed an exclusive deal with Sony Music West Africa. The singer broke into the scene in 2017 with singles ‘I Want You’ and ‘Isabella’ and has been on the rise to prominence ever since.

He has also secured collaborations with some of Nigeria’s biggest acts including Tiwa Savage, Peruzzi, Mayorkun and DJ Kaywise.

“New Family @sonymusic_wa , Expect The ‘UNDERRATED’ EP,” T-Classic shared on Instagram.

According to Sony Music West Africa’s head of PR and marketing Jim Donnett, the new deal will help the young act expand into international music markets.

“T-Classic’s star prowess is undeniable and it’ll be good to see him enjoy the same measure of success and recognition that many of his young and high-flying colleagues are experiencing in their various careers,” Donnett told Music In Africa.

“His deal with Sony gives him an edge over them in that it puts him in a potential global situation to level up with internationally acclaimed stars,” he says.

Sony Music West Africa has also teased a new project from T-Classic later this month.

In 2019, T-Classic scored a hit with the release of Nobody Fine Pass You’, with its accompanying video recording over 4 million views on YouTube.
