Nigeria’s Air Peace made African aviation history in a $2.12billion deal with Brazil’s Embraer for its 195-E2 fleet.
Air Peace chief, Allen Onyema says the deal will make the airline the first E2 operator in Africa.
The model was banned from “taking off and landing” at Egyptian airports or “passing through” its airspace.
The aircraft will be used on medium to long-haul flights from its base at Dakar’s Blaise Diagne International Airport
The victims of the crash were largely aid workers and doctors.
