Majoro will stay in charge until scheduled elections in June 2022. A seasoned economist, he previously worked as finance minister and an executive director at the International Monetary Fund.
The country’s supreme ruler King Letsie III has been advised by parliament to appoint Finance Minister Moeketsi Majoro as premier and he is expected to be sworn in on Wednesday.
