Tear Gas Fired in Abuja, Lagos as Nigerians Protest Hardship

Protesters in Nigeria were dispersed by the police using tear gas in Lagos and Abuja as they gathered to demonstrate against the high cost of living.

In Lagos, protesters attempted to light bonfires near the governor’s office, prompting the police to use tear gas to disperse the crowd.

Similarly, in Abuja, the police fired cannisters at hundreds of protesters who were moving from a stadium to Eagles Square.
