Singer Tems and her manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi have called out Ugandan artiste Bebe Cool on Twitter over her and her Manager’s arrest in Uganda.
Omah Lay, Tems and her manager Muyiwa Awomiyi were arrested by Katwe Police in Uganda after performing at an event tagged The Big Brunch, at Speke Resort, Wavamunno Rd, in Kampala.
They were charged to court on grounds of performing at an unauthorized concert and disobeying COVID-19 protocols.
They spent two days in police custody and had a court hearing before they were released and returned to Nigeria on Thursday, December 17.
However, Tems and her manager disclosed that Bebe Cool played a major role in their arrest. According to them, he called the police on Tems and Omah Lay, then turned around to “follow the police and bribed them into sending pictures of their release papers so that it could look like he had nothing to do with the release”.
