The music streaming giant, Spotify, has shared an exciting update. The list of Nigeria’s top 30 tracks, released in the first half of 2024, is a testament to the popularity and influence of these artists and their music.
Ayra Starr’s musical prowess was further highlighted by her collaboration with Rauw Alejandro on the track ‘Santa’. This unique blend of talent and creativity has left a lasting impression on the music industry.
Ayra Starr placed second with her solo hit, ‘Comma’, while Tems placed third with ‘Love Me Jeje’.
Luciano and Omah Lay placed fourth with their hit song, ‘Another Vibe,’ while Burna Boy, 21 Savage, and Metro Boomin’s ‘Just Like Me’ clinched the fifth most streamed, while Tyla and Tems’s No.1 came sixth.
Phiona Okumu, Spotify’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, mentioned in a press briefing in Lagos on Wednesday that “the list acknowledges the most listened to tracks by Nigerians from international artists between January 1 and June 30, 2024.”
