Nigerian superstar, Tems performed at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, a popular British music festival organised by BBC Radio 1. She sang hit songs like ‘Essence’, ‘Higher’, ‘Wait for U’, and ‘Crazy Tings’, along with her latest track ‘Love Me JeJe’.
This song marks Tems’ first release of the year and will be part of her debut studio album, ‘Born In The Wild’. ‘Love Me JeJe’ was written solely by her and produced by GuiltyBeatz (known for his work with WizKid and Burna Boy) and Spax (known for his work with Oxlade and Show Dem Camp). The song samples the 1997 Nigerian classic of the same name by Seyi Sodimu.
Tems also recently performed at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and will kick off her world tour next month, in June.
The award-winning Nigerian singer showcased her alternative R&B style at Big Weekend, drawing crowds at Stockwood Park, Luton. Alongside Tems, the festival featured performances by Raye, Sabrina Carpenter, Olly Alexander, Rag’n’Bone Man, Charli XCX, Becky Hill, and Rudimental’Chase & Status.
