The news all over social media some days ago was that popular Instagram celebrity; Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana chief priest, has been on the run since he assaulted a lady at an event in Owerri.
Nigerian blogger @cutie_julls disclosed on Instagram that Pascal allegedly beat up a woman in Owerri and immediately ran away from the scene, and has since then been on the run. In her post, she called out celebrities and authorities.
”So Chief Priest has been harassing young ladies and both authorities and his celebrity colleague celebrities are quiet on this because of what? Money and influence I guess. It’s really sad. If it’s something that does not concern una, that will be when you will see big silly hashtags that those sharing hardly understand.
The lady who was allegedly assaulted has, however, been identified as Rekiya Jibril who took to her Instagram page to share pictures of her bruised face, accompanied by medical reports to back up her claim.
The lady has taken bold steps to seek justice by tagging the brands the Cubana chief priests work with.
She disclosed that Pascal punched her on the face while working at Cubana, Owerri and has since reported the issue to the police, while awaiting his possible arrest.
Rekiya’s post on instagram read, ”Cubana Chief priest, Brand Ambassador for @hennessy @moetchandon @glenmorangie @bulletnigeria @vbankng formally known as Paschal Okechukwu assaulted me when I was working at Cubana, Owerri on Sunday 23rd August 2020. Witnesses at the scene saw him punch me in the face and after doing so, Chief Priest was held back by paying customers to stop him from attacking me any further. I have not taken the assault lightly and have made a report to have him arrested. Swipe for Hospital report and police report. Say No to violence against women. Women Lives MATTER”
Although he is in hiding, Cubana chief priest remains active on his social media handles, as he has been attributing everything to hate and jealousy. In one post, he referred to himself as the most celebrated Barman in the whole wide world, and that it’s worth all the hate, jealousy and envy. He also goes ahead to say that his force is super intimidating.
In another post, he wrote, ”success is not for the weak, stay strong, stay prayerful, stay smart. Once hustle begin pay, hate go begin dey… Be ready!!! Never stop Never settle.
