In preparation for the upcoming nationwide protests, the Federal Capital Territory police command has deployed tens of thousands of policemen throughout the capital.

Additionally, the command announced the deployment of explosive ordnance disposal experts at critical locations.

In a statement released on Friday, the command spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, stated that the deployment aims to ensure public safety, protect protesters, and prevent the protests from being hijacked by non-state actors.
