Three More Journalists Killed in Gaza as Death Toll Reaches 180

Three more Palestinian journalists lost their lives in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza on Sunday, raising the number of journalists killed in the region since last year to 180, according to Gaza’s government media office.

The journalists were identified as Saed Radwan of Al-Aqsa TV, Hamza Abu Salmiya from Sanad News Agency, and Haneen Baroud from Al-Quds Foundation.

The media office has called on international organisations and press advocates to “deter the occupation and pursue it in international courts for its ongoing crimes, and pressure it to stop its ongoing genocide and the killing of Palestinian journalists.”

The Israeli military has intensified operations in Gaza following a Hamas attack last year, continuing despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire.

According to local health authorities, the conflict has claimed nearly 43,000 lives, including large numbers of women and children, and injured over 100,000. Nearly the entire population of Gaza has been displaced, with severe shortages of essential supplies due to an ongoing blockade.

Israel also faces a case in the International Court of Justice over allegations of genocide in Gaza.
