Rebel forces in Ethiopia’s northern Tigray say at least six people have been killed by airstrikes suspected to be from neighbouring Eritrea.
Tuesday’s attack hit Adi-Daero town, located near the Eritrean border, an aid worker confirmed.
The Eritrean government, whose troops previously fought alongside Ethiopian soldiers in the region is yet to respond to the accusation.
A medic in the region say, many injured in the attack were taken to the hospital by an ambulance.
The Tigrayan authorities say the air strikes went on and on, destroying residential houses on Tuesday.
Footages of the wreck caused by the alleged attack has gone viral on social media.
Satellite images indicate a major military build-up around Shiraro, a border town the Tigray forces had reportedly lost a few weeks ago.
The images show troops and heavy artilleries positioned along the border between Ethiopia and Eritrea.
