President Bola Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the executive management for 12 River Basin Development Authorities, with 72 appointments across various positions.
This move was announced in a statement by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga. The newly appointed officials will oversee river basin development projects under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
The breakdown of the appointments includes chairpersons, managing directors, and executive directors for agriculture, finance, planning and design, and engineering services across regions such as Ogun-Osun, Upper Benue, Chad Basin, Benin-Owena, Niger Delta, Upper Niger, and Lower Niger River Basins.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the Executive Management of 12 River Basin Development Authorities under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources,” his Wednesday statement read.
He gave a breakdown of the appointments as follows:
