Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect, urged Governor Adeleke to bring the state together in his congratulatory message.
“Everyone must abide by the ruling of the country’s highest court regarding the Osun governorship dispute”, according to a statement by Tunde Rahman from the Office of the President-elect.
“I congratulate Ademola Adeleke for being named the winner of the Osun Governorship election by the Supreme Court,” he stated.
“We all must abide by the ruling of the highest court in the land. For the country’s democracy and rule of law to flourish moving forward, it is the proper thing to do.
Adegboyega Oyetola, the state’s most recent governor, deserves praise as well for exercising his democratic rights in accordance with the law.
Governor Oyetola performed his duties commendably. He lost the job, but he didn’t lose his moral character or his standing as the governor who improved government operations via accountability, transparency, and efficiency.
Now that the issue pertaining to July 16, 2022, Osun State Governorship Election has been resolved, I implore Governor Adeleke to get to work right away and carry on from where the previous government left it. He ought to now take action to unite the state. I also exhort everyone in Osun to work for stability and development in the region.
