President Bola Tinubu has promoted Olufemi Oluyede, the acting chief of army staff (COAS), to the rank of Lieutenant General.
According to Bayo Onanuga, special assistant to the president on information and strategy, Oluyede would fill the job until Taoreed Lagbaja, the substantive COAS, returns from his absence.
The Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar, attended the ceremony held on Tuesday at the State House in Abuja.
