Nigerian queen of afrobeats, Tiwatope Savage has dropped a brand new single ‘Pick up’. The heavyweight female musician has teased the project for a few days now and it’s her first solo project of the year.
Following the success of her hit single ‘Stamina’ featuring Mavin Sabi girl, Ayra Starr, and Hit music producer and singer, Young Jonn, ‘Pick Up’ has a catchy vibe, and blends the singers use of English and her native language Yoruba.
TIWA first teased the project 3 weeks ago, and the 50secs snippet immediately got the attention of over 23million instagram fans. The song’s chorus is a sample of 2009 hit song ‘No be mistake’ by Nigerian veteran musician 9ice. With lyrics ‘No be mistake, Take it by faith, Ma ko ma ko le ye nko’ meaning success is turn is by turn.
The 43 year old superstar recently thrilled fans in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and has shows scheduled for August in New York, USA and in London for November as part of her Everything Savage tour. Recall that earlier last month she delivered a breathtaking performance at the coronation concert in the presence of over twenty thousands at the Windsor Castle, in celebration of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
