Google has revealed that a video sex tape involving Nigerian pop star, Tiwa Savage, was among the top searches on its site in October.
The conclusion of Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder has also piqued the interest of Nigerian sports fans on Google.
This was announced in Google’s October search trends report on Friday in Lagos.
In October, other trending topics include the one year anniversary of the 2020 EndSARS protests and World Teachers’ Day.
Nigerian youths and celebrities marched through the Lekki toll gate in Lagos in a memorial automobile procession. Folorin Falana, aka Falz, and Debo Adebayo, aka Mr Macaroni, led the march.
According to Google’s report, other interesting searches by Nigerians in October were those related to the releases of hit songs Alcohol and Levels by Joe Boy and Flavour.
Nnandi Kanu Biafra’ was also the most googled term for Nigerians who were interested in the political activist’s ongoing trial and the fact that his court case had been adjourned until November 10, 2011, by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The search trends information is gleaned from data collated by Google based on what Nigerians have been searching for and asking Google.
