World Tourism Forum, Angola to develop sector in new partnership

World Tourism Forum and Angola’s Ministry of Tourism signed a protocol of cooperation focused on attracting investment and the promotion of tourism in country.

The partnership was signed by the Angolan Minister of Tourism, Angela Bragança and the president of the World Forum, Bulut Bagci, on the sidelines of a meeting on “Presidential Golf Day – Angola 2019,” an event held ahead of the World Tourism Forum that Angola will host in the month of May.

Bragança, says the document is a partnership agreement with the brand owners, which sets out the responsibilities of the Tourism Forum and the Ministry of Tourism for a successful of the event.

Ahead of the forum, the Presidential Golf Day will be held in Luanda, to efforts to attract multi-sector investments to the economy and to promote business opportunities, with a focus on boosting tourism.

According to Braganca, the World Tourism Forum will be important to promote the country and its potential, taking into account that the dynamism of the tourism segment is one of the bases for economic diversification as included in the priorities of the 2018-2022 National Development Plan.

The World Forum says the institution will invest US$1 billion in Angola with priority areas to be announced during the forum.
