Major General Kevin Aligbe, Commandant of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) of the Nigerian Army, has pledged the Army’s continued dedication to the training and education of its officers, soldiers, and personnel. This commitment is aimed at ensuring effective service delivery across the nation.
Major General Aligbe made this promise during his keynote address at a leadership workshop held at the TRADOC headquarters in Minna, Niger State. The event focused on developing leadership skills and enhancing the capabilities of personnel operating in a joint environment.
As the training arm of the Nigerian Army, TRADOC is committed to the ongoing development of its members. Major General Aligbe assured that the command would persist in its mission to equip personnel with the knowledge needed to tackle current security challenges.
The workshop, themed “Enhancing Doctrine and Combat Development in the Nigerian Army for Effective Leadership in a Joint Environment,” was designed to improve the leadership abilities of Nigerian Army personnel and prepare them for complex operational settings.
Major General Aligbe encouraged participants to utilise the insights gained from the workshop to address contemporary security issues and to better prepare for future missions.
In his remarks, Major General Jamiu Jimoh, Chief of Doctrine and Combat Development at TRADOC, outlined the workshop’s goal of providing practical tools and strategies for effective team management and decision-making in military leadership. Represented by Major General Anthony Obiwulu, Director of Doctrine, Jimoh emphasised the importance of strong leadership in military operations.
Reflecting on the Nigerian Army’s experiences in combating insurgency over the past decade, Jimoh noted that the workshop would expose participants to visionary leadership strategies, positioning them for improved future training and operations.
The workshop also featured experienced facilitators who provided valuable insights on effective leadership within a joint environment, aiming to enhance the overall operational effectiveness of the Nigerian Army.
