The passengers and crew of an Ethiopian Airline plane were saved by the bell when the airplane slightly skidded off the runway and got stuck in the mud at the Murtala International Airport in Lagos, Nigeria.

According to airport officials, a plane arriving Lagos from Addis Ababa had landed and was at taxiing speed when it skidded off the taxiway while trying to make a turn to the gate.

In a video published, airport operatives went to work taking off the mud from the plane tyres to create an easy passage for the plane.

The Airline in a statement said the ET 3905 Converted passenger aircraft was on a cargo service. The carrier after offloading its cargo, returned safely to Addis Ababa. No fatalities or injuries were recorded.
