Troops have neutralised about 17 Boko Haram insurgents in Damsak, Mobbar LGA of Borno State, North-Eastern part of Nigeria. The incident occurred around 8pm on Sunday March 6.
It was gathered that the terrorists were killed by troops of ”Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK)” .
Sources say the Nigerian security forces opened fire on the terrorists, killing several, and forcing others to retreat and flee.
This development was confirmed by Maj.Gen. Christopher Musa, Theatre Commander, Operation Hadin Kai, North East Joint Task Force, in an interview with newsmen on Monday.
He noted that the gallant troops also arrested three other terrorists during the offensive onslaught.
Musa stated that the soldiers also recovered motorcycles and other weapons from the insurgents during the encounter.
