The billionaire owner of X, formerly known as Twitter, Elon Musk, has revealed that the URL of the popular bird app has completed its migration to X.com.
In July 2022, the billionaire CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and other ventures acquired X for $44 billion. Subsequently, the platform was rebranded as X last year, though the domain name continued to be Twitter.com. However, as of Friday, search queries directed to Twitter.com now redirect users to X.com.
Musk wrote on X, “All core systems are now on X.com.”
He said he wants the microblogging platform to become a super-app like China’s WeChat which is bigger than X. He also added an AI Chatbot called “Grok”.
Following Musk’s takeover of X, thousands of staff members were laid off. He has personally overseen significant technical issues and reinstated the accounts of conspiracy theorists, including former US President Donald Trump.
