Indonesia’s Kepulauan Batu was jolted by two earthquakes measuring nearly magnitude 6 on Sunday morning.
The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that the initial tremor, registered at a magnitude of 6.1.
The EMSC reported yet another quake measuring 5.8 magnitude just a few hours later.
According to the EMSC, the first earthquake struck at a depth of 43 km while the second occurred at a depth of 40 km.
