    Two Killed in Kano Building Collapse

    Two people lost their lives, and two others were rescued following a two-storey building collapse in the Nomansland area of Fagge Local Government, Kano.

    The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on Thursday during a heavy downpour. Reports indicate that the building, situated near a waterway, collapsed due to flooding.

    Saminu Yusif Abudullahi, the Public Relations Officer for the Kano State Fire Service, confirmed that two individuals were rescued and taken to the hospital, while two others were found dead at the building collapse site. The rescue operation is ongoing.

    On Wednesday, the Executive Secretary of Kano State Emergency Management Agency, Isyaku Kubarachi reported that flooding in the state had killed 31 people and destroyed 5,280 houses.
