Breaking Gunmen Attack Senator Ifeanyi Ubah's Convoy in Nigeria’s South East (News Central TV)

The convoy of the Managing Director of Capital Oil, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was ambushed by gun wielding men at Nkwo Enugu Ukwu, Njikoka local Government area of Anambra State at about 5pm today. Some of Ubah’s aides were killed, including some police officers.

An eyewitness account disclosed that he was ambushed by heavily armed assassins who opened fire on his convoy. He added that some of his aides were killed including some police officers.

Reacting to the incident, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command CP Echeng Echeng has led Operatives to the scene.

This was contained in a statement signed by the the state police spokesperson DSP Ikenga Tochukwu. Tochukwu disclosed that the incident is still sketchy, while assuring the public that his operatives are on ground to put the situation under control.

Senator Ubah escaped without being hurt. Ubah who is a  member of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) represents Anambra South Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
