After a bomb scare on Wednesday, Ugandan police temporarily shut down a busy motorway linking the nation’s major airport and the capital, Kampala.

According to tweets from police, a bomb squad was sent to perform an investigation along the Entebbe motorway before it was declared safe for use by the general public.
Until the investigations were finished and regular traffic flow was resumed, drivers were detoured to an old route that passes close to the motorway.
The Chinese-funded motorway was opened in 2018 and is the first-ever toll road in the nation.
