Ukraine's Kharkiv Hit by 10 Airstrikes Following Kyiv's Drone Attack on Russia

Russian airstrikes injured at least 41 people, including five children, in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, following Kyiv’s drone attacks on Russian territory.

Regional head Oleh Syniehubov accused Moscow of targeting civilian infrastructure, with buildings such as a supermarket and a sports complex damaged. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attacks and renewed calls for more Western military aid.

The strikes on Kharkiv involved at least 10 separate attacks, including ballistic missiles, with rescue operations ongoing amid fears that people may be trapped under rubble. Videos on social media showed moments of impact in various parts of the city.

The Russian airstrikes came in response to Ukraine’s overnight drone assault on Russian targets, where fires broke out at two energy facilities. Although no casualties were reported in Russia, the drones targeted 15 regions, including Moscow. Fires were confirmed at a Moscow oil refinery and the Konakovo Power Station in the Tver region. Ukrainian forces have escalated long-range drone attacks within Russia in recent months, reportedly aided by Western technology and finance.
