The United Nations has once again called for the need to maintain calm and stability, which has already been achieved in Libya since the signing of the Libyan ceasefire agreement in October 2020.
Spokesman for the UN Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric, at the daily press conference in the UN building, said that the agreement has had a positive impact on the humanitarian situation, and in this regard, all actors have been called to avoid any incitement to violence, hate speech and misinformation.
Dujarric said the entire UN mission and Secretary-General Adviser Stephanie Williams has continued to communicate with all Libyan parties, even as developments are closely monitored.
He believes that with regard to the ownership of Libyan institutions for the ongoing political legislative process, as well as the need to ensure transparency of processes and decisions and commitment to the development of rules and agreements, the importance of maintaining the calm and stability that has already been achieved since the signing of the Libyan ceasefire agreement in October 2020 would continuously resonate.
