World heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk announced on Wednesday that he plans to have two more fights before retiring from boxing.
The 38-year-old Ukrainian, who remains unbeaten in his career, also said that one of those matches will be against the victor of the Daniel Dubois versus Joseph Parker fight later this month.
Usyk claimed victory over Britain’s Tyson Fury last May, securing all four major heavyweight titles and becoming the first undisputed champion in nearly 25 years.
He relinquished the IBF belt but kept hold of the unified WBC, WBA, and WBO championships after defeating Fury again.
“I feel great myself. I feel I have two fights to prepare for, not more. Just two.”
English boxer Dubois, the current IBF champion, lost to Usyk in 2023 but is eager to redeem himself should he overcome New Zealand’s Parker in Riyadh on February 22.
