Nigerian social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has responded to a recent court order for him to remove defamatory posts about famed human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN).

The dispute started when VDM linked Falana and his son, the well-known artist Falz, to a scandal involving the crossdresser Idris “Bobrisky” Okuneye and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

He said that Bobrisky was cleared of all legal issues by paying a bribe of N15 million.

In response to a court order to remove posts purportedly defaming Femi Falana, VeryDarkMan, VDM comments.
When VDM asserted that Falz and Femi Falana had also received payment to assist clear Bobrisky’s name, the accusations became more serious.

His accusations gained traction online, eliciting fury from social media users and attracting attention to the legal implications of his allegations.

In reaction to the court order, VeryDarkMan turned to Instagram and posted a video of himself nonchalantly chewing gum, seemingly unaffected by the verdict.

His casual attitude has elicited a variety of reactions from followers and critics.
