Victor Osimhen, Napoli and Super Eagles striker has been named to the FIFA 23 team of the year, where he will face stiff competition from other top forwards across European leagues.
Victor Osimhen has been Napoli’s shining light this season in all competitions, as the Nigerian continues to impress and score goals for the Naples side. Because of his outstanding performances, Osimhen has ensured that Napoli is regarded as a contender for the Serie A title this season.
According to FIFA, fans can now vote on who should be in the prestigious Team Of The Year XI, with voting beginning yesterday and ending on January 17, with the final list being released on Thursday, January 19.
The other attackers alongside Victor Osimhen in the list of nominees are – Karim Benzema, Neymar, Vinícius Jnr., Ousmane Dembélé, João Félix, Gabriel Jesus, Phil Foden, Cody Gakpo, Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, Robert Lewandowski, Sadio Mané, Kylian Mbappé, Christopher Nkunku, Darwin Núñez, Mohammed Salah, Heung Min Son, Dusan Vlahovic, Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezmann.
