(Video) EFCC Storms Location of Suspected Vote-Buyers in Ekiti

At least six persons suspected to be involved in votee buying have been apprehended by officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in the Ekiti governorship election.

Officers of the EFCC are part of 17,374 security personnel deployed to monitor elections across the state.

At the onset of the voting process, the Assistant Commandant of NSCDC Corps, Da-Saliva Idowu denied allegations of vote-buying.

However, after receiving more calls and intelligent report from concerned voters, security operatives went into action, seizing stashes of cash meant for vote-buying in locations like Ikere LGA and Ola Oluwa Muslim Secondary School, Ado Ekiti – where a chieftain of the PDP, Damola Ojo was apprehended.

While parading some of the suspects at the Oke Ori Omi Area Division of the Nigerian Police Force, the EFCC officials say the suspects carried out the act secretively. They were caught with monies allegedly used to induce voters.
