In a bold move today, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu personally intervened to address the escalating issue of traffic violations on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway. The governor, accompanied by his convoy, encountered a group of erring motorcycle riders brazenly flouting traffic rules by riding in the wrong direction.
Witnesses reported that upon spotting the governor’s convoy, the daring motorcyclists hastily abandoned their bikes and passengers, attempting to evade the consequences of their reckless actions. However, Governor Sanwo-Olu, determined to uphold law and order, swiftly ordered the apprehension of the offenders.
Among the captured individuals was a lance corporal from the Nigerian Army, adding a surprising twist to the unfolding drama. The soldier, along with four civilians, now faces legal consequences for their blatant disregard for traffic regulations. The governor in swift action sends a strong message that no one, regardless of their status, is above the law.
Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasised the importance of enforcing traffic rules to ensure the safety of all road users.
