New Zealand-Nigerian mixed martial artist Israel Adesanya has asserted that many women in Lagos are “runs girls”—a local term for call girls.
He claimed that these women enjoy flaunting their wealth, but the earnings of prostitution fund their lifestyles.
The former UFC welterweight champion made these comments in a video message posted on his X account on Monday.
He advised them to adopt a more pleasant and friendly demeanour rather than seeking attention.
Speaking in English and Yoruba, Adesanya said, “Lagos women love showing off. Most of you are runs girls, kobo kobo, ashewo.
“You keep posing and showing off. Nonsense. Just be nice, be friendly, say hi.”
