Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has officially returned to his duties at the presidential villa in Abuja after a two-week foreign trip, the Presidency announced on Thursday.
The Presidency released a 27-second video featuring President Tinubu walking with a group of at least 15 aides to his office at the presidential villa.
The footage was shared by Dada Olusegun, Special Assistant to the President on Social Media.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu back at his desk this morning, receives briefing from HM @bosuntijani , NCC EVC and HM Wale Edun, HM of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy at the State House,” the caption read.
The Presidency did not release any pictures or videos of President Bola Tinubu’s return to the country after a two-week trip abroad, sparking speculations and discussions.
Despite the announcement of his return on state-owned television NTA on Wednesday, there was a notable absence of visual media capturing the event.
For the past year under Tinubu’s leadership, his aides and presidency officials have regularly shared images and videos of his arrivals and departures at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
These occasions typically involve top government officials like the Chief of Staff, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Ministers, Governors, and others bidding farewell or welcoming the president.
Recall that the President embarked on a trip over two weeks ago for a meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
From there, he proceeded to Saudi Arabia to participate in a special World Economic Forum (WEF) event. Following the summit, he continued his travels in Europe.
