On day three, the Candidates hosted Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and his running mate, Isaac Idahosa.
One of the main goals of the NNPP is to set up a complete security system for Nigeria. The party’s manifesto, titled “My Pledges to You,” promises to recruit 750 thousand Nigerians into the armed services and to boost the police force to one million.
Kwankwaso talked about his work in Nigerian politics. He has run for president with both the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
On restructuring, he stated that, while he believes in it, he also feels that the reason people are demanding it is because of “system failings.” He intends to solve these issues if elected.
