Violent Clashes in Ethiopia as Unrest Continues in Amhara (News Central TV)

The recent decision by the Ethiopian government to consolidate the regional security forces in Amhara, the country’s second-largest region, has sparked widespread unrest. As part of the government’s plan to create a centralised army, the move has led to mass protests, violent gun battles, and clashes between regional security units and the federal military.

Tragically, aid workers have been shot and killed, and the World Food Programme has been forced to suspend its operations in the region.
