Volvo Cars, based in Sweden, is recalling around 106,900 vehicles worldwide due to a potential braking problem, according to a Volvo Cars representative on Tuesday.

Certain 2023 model year S60, V60, V60CC, V90CC, XC60, XC90, XC40, and C40 vehicles are affected, according to a January 19 statement from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

According to the report, a diagnostic error in a brake control module could lead to problems with the antilock brake system, electronic stability control, and traction control.

“A reduction in brake support functions can increase the risk of a crash,” the report says.
