We Still Owe Stonebwoy, Ghana Music Rights Organization CEO Admits

In Ghana, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), Abraham Adjetey, has explained why Stonebwoy has only received GHC2000 out of his royalties to date. According to Mr Abraham, all Stonebwoy claims were true and he was only given GHC2000 as royalties

The organizations however admitted that they still owe Stonebwoy after paying him GHC2,000 in royalties. This comes after Stonebwoy told the Ghana High Commissioner to the U.K. Papa Owusu Ankomah that he has received only GHC2,000 from GHAMRO. 

The organization further stated that the dance hall artist should submit his remaining works and make himself available for his next pay

Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) is a royalty’s collection agency within Ghana, that represents the rights of music copyright holders. it was created under section 49 of the Copyright Law, Act 690 of 2005.

The agency collects royalties for all rights owners in Ghana
