Why Atiku Abubakar Deleted Facebook, and Twitter Posts on Deborah’s killing

Nigerian Presidential hopeful and former Vice-President, Alhaji Atiku Abubarkar swiftly responded to the gruesome murder of Deborah Samuel, a female student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto, Northwest Nigeria. The post sparked a series of engagements differently on Facebook and Twitter minutes after it was posted.

Atiku made his post around 10:20 p.m. and was deleted in less than an hour. The post reads “There can not be a justification for such gruesome murder. Deborah Yakubu was murdered, and all those behind her death must be brought to justice, My condolences to her family and friends.”

The post sparked some reactions that the PDP presidential aspirant may have considered risky to his ambitions, check some of the comments in the screenshot below.

The Twitter post was also deleted but stayed a little later after the Facebook post was taken down. This has got many Nigerians speaking up as to how Politicians only care about themselves and their ambitions.
