Reports indicate that Kenya’s Deputy President William Ruto has arrived the United States.
He was accompanied by an entourage of leaders, the majority of whom are members of his Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
His Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi confirmed his arrival shortly past 12am on Monday, February 28.
“DP William Samoei Ruto touches down at Washington- USA,” Itumbi wrote.
Other leaders who were with Willimas Ruto include ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, director of the presidential campaign secretariat Josephat Nanok, presidential campaign secretariat head of Foreign Affairs Ababu Namwamba and head of Presidential campaign communications Ababu Namwamba.
Ruto is attending events in Washington and London, where he has been invited by senior authorities and major policy institutes.
“In Washington DC the Deputy President is scheduled to meet, among others, officials of the State Department and the Pentagon as well as the US Government National Security Council (NSC) Advisor,” Itumbi added.
Ruto will discuss foreign policy, democracy, and government, as well as Kenya‘s and Africa’s economic futures.
William Ruto would also speak at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, and the Washington Entrepreneurship Hub at the University of Arizona.
