Ghana coach, Otto Addo believes his team has what it takes to beat any side in the world at the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana qualified for the World Cup in Qatar courtesy of away goals. In the second leg of their play-off, they held Nigeria to a 1-1 tie. At the 10-minute mark, Ghana’s lone goal was scored by Thomas Partey. The Black Stars will begin their campaign in Qatar against Portugal on November 24 at Stadium 974 before facing South Korea on November 28 at Education City Stadium, followed by their final Group H match against Uruguay on December 2 at Al Wakrah Sports Complex.
“First of all we want to play our style of play and I think Ghanaian teams in the past always play good football and this is also what we want we had previous tournaments where I think showed that Ghana has good footballers and this is also what we want,” Addo said in a media interview
He added – “This comes surely also with victories and I think this is the first thing we want. If we can survive the group stage which I said is going to be very tough, then anything is possible.
“I know we can beat every team in the world. Everybody knows at the World Cup, it will not come like the whole world expects things to be. I think the first match is very decisive and from there we can know how to go on the second match.”
