Nigerian Afropop singer, songwriter, actress and activist, Yemi Alade is out with a new tune titled ‘Bubble It’. This week’s new music Friday comes with a transcontinental touch. The song which features Jamaican dancehall recording artist was released this Friday, September 16, 2022.
Yemi Alade announced the Dancehall single on Instagram saying :
Bubble it is Yemi Alade’s follow-up to Begging which she dropped on July 22. Since the release of her 2014 debut album ‘King of Queens’, which produced her most successful single Johnny, the 33-year-old has released 4 more studio album and has won numerous awards and accolades.
She made history as the first female to win consecutive MTV African Music Awards for Best female, after her wins in 2015 and 2016.
Grace Latoya Hamilton, known professionally as Spice, is a recording artist, singer, and songwriter . Referred to as the “Queen of Dancehall”, Spice is recognised as one of the most prominent dancehall artists in the world.
Yemi Alade’s engagement in advocacy programs earned her an appointment as a Goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) focused on Sustainable Development Goals in September 2020 and global ambassador of a Pan-African campaign called “It’s Up To Us” in March 2022.
