Super Eagles and Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen has stated his support for Mario Balotelli’s transfer to Napoli if one occurs.
The former Manchester City striker and Nigerian superstar had a social media conversation in which Osimhen answered to a query made by the 32-year-old Italian.
A Palermo fan posted on the striker’s Instagram story “Ask me a question” post that he would want to see him play for Napoli. The only other source the Inter Milan striker checked was the Nigerian, and the Super Eagles player answered by saying Napoli would always welcome him.
“I’d love to see you in Naples,” remarked the fan.
Super Mario reacted to the fan’s request by tagging Osimhen in a post and posing the question to him.
“What do you think, @victorosimhen9?” he posted.
“You are always welcome in Naples,” the Nigerian attacker said on his story.
The former Liverpool forward went to Sion last summer and will stay there until June 2024.
The exceptional performance of Victor Osimhen has piqued the interest of a number of major teams, who are now battling for his signature in order to bolster their lineups. Although the Parthenopeans have imposed a €150 million transfer ban on Osimhen, his superb form would persuade clubs to meet Napoli’s asking price.
Balotelli left the Italian Serie A in 2020, and returning to his home country would be the ideal way for him to end his career.
