The documentary is the result of a two-year undercover investigation by an Al Jazeera unit that infiltrated rival gangs controlling Africa’s gold.
The criminal networks were shown to be converting dirty cash into gold, which was then sold globally. The investigation reached the highest offices of state in the southern African country.
