As of May 1, 2024, Bernard Arnault, the CEO of Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH) tops the list of the wealthiest people in the world.

According to Forbes’ real-time billionaires list, Arnault has held this title since February of this year, closely followed by Tesla CEO, Elon Musk.

Musk briefly ceded the second spot to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in April 2024 but swiftly reclaimed it after a 15% surge in Tesla’s stock on April 29, 2024.

Bezos now occupies third place, with Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg trailing behind with a net worth of $151.2 billion.

Also, Bill Gates, the Microsoft Founder who held the title of the world’s wealthiest individual for about three decades, now has a net worth of $128 billion, placing him in the ninth position. This marks a drop from his seventh position a month ago.
